Some creative tips on how to spread your training dollar:
- Create an internal newsletter (either printed or via email) that reinforces techniques and skills that have been taught in previous Cougar Mountain training curriculum. By sending one person to class, you can spread their knowledge to many.
- Posting skill based information on a LAN or intranet. Again, using tips and tricks or going to a conference would help others in the knowledge of your accounting software.
- Set up an accessible Q&A telephone line or web space where employees can ask questions, raise issues, and get solutions from one another, and from the training staff. This could be used in our 2 hour blocks of training to solve issues before they happen.
- Talk to employees about their training needs and put out a weekly or monthly “Top Ten Tips List” that offers solutions to the most common problems, which they might have with the software, or reports.
