End of Month Tasks
As we near the end of the month, I want to send out a reminder to our Cougar Mountain Customers of some time sensitive end of month tasks.
Do a cougar mountain backup. Here’s How:
- Go to the Cougar Mountain Main screen,
- Select Options,
- File Maintenance,
- Backup Company,
- and Backup.
End of month tasks for each CMS Accounting Module
Accounts Receivable
Run the Aged Analysis report for all customers
Run statements
**The other items in the Period End menu are not time sensitive
Inventory
Run all reports except for
Stock Quick List
Stock Labels
Physical Count
History
Movement
**The other items in the Period End menu are not time sensitive
Point of Sale
Run cash receipts and the credit card receipts reports
The other reports are not time sensitive and can be run later.
After running time sensitive reports, go to Period End on the POS menu and Reset Credit Card Totals
Re-index each module. Here’s how:
- For each module choose Options
- File Maintenance
- Re-index
- Chose the Select All button and hit OK.
