CMS Professional 2009 Payroll Tax Update
Your CMS 2009 Payroll Tax Update Utility with changes as of June 25, 2009, is now available. Before you install this update, you must have CMS Professional 2009 SP1 installed. This 2009 Payroll Tax Update includes all recent withholding table changes for the states of Hawaii, Pennsylvania, and Vermont only. Hawaii and Pennsylvania’s changes are effective January 1, 2009 and Vermont’s changes are effective July 1, 2009.
You can download this update from the Customer Service Center (CSC) website as part of your Software Assurance agreement. To access the Payroll Tax Updates area of the CSC site click here. For installation instructions for the Payroll Tax Update, click here. I encourage you to check this area of the CSC site frequently to ensure you have the latest withholding tables for any states that you report. If you are a CD service subscriber, you can download the file from the CSC site now for immediate installation or wait for your CD which will be sent at the end of the month. Included on the CD are withholding changes released since the initial release of the 2009 PR Tax Update. If you do not have your password to the CSC site, please contact your account executive for assistance.
IMPORTANT: If your Cougar Mountain software has been customized, or if your original installation required more than the standard process, you need to speak with your reseller or whoever installed the software before you load the updates.
As a Software Assurance subscriber you also receive the Aatrix State and Federal tax forms update service. These forms are updated quarterly and we highly recommend that you run the update at the end of each quarter. To get the latest version of the tax forms, click here.
