In 1982 Bob Gossett, CEO and founder, established Cougar Mountain Software in Boise, Idaho, to meet the demands of growing businesses that require solid accounting practices. Suddenly accountants were no longer confined to the spreadsheet. He felt it was important to develop a business that acts as an ally to customers and business partners by providing them with the insight and information needed to help their businesses operate more efficiently.
Since that time Cougar Mountain has developed tightly integrated accounting, point of sale, and nonprofit accounting software programs that help our customers make important financial decisions based on fact, not feeling. We continue to update our product lineup annually, and are in the process of completing our most advanced software suite, Denali, which will give our customers the increased speed and memory that comes from working on a 32-bit platform.
