New Year Resolutions for 2008

If we had our way, these are the New Year resolutions that every CMS customer would include on their list for 2008:

  1. Everyone will consistently make back-ups of their company data.
    1. Sure, it is easy to forget to do when everyone is so busy – but just imagine what would happen if your computer hard-drive was to die right this moment.  By making a regular CMS backup of your data – this would not be a serious calamity at all.
    2. If you use third party software to back up your data – verify that it actually works.
    3. Did you know CMS has tools built right into the software that will automatically backup your data every night?
  2. Everyone will re-index their company data files at least monthly.
    1. Reindex more often if you enter lots of daily activity. By reindexing your data files, your software will run more smoothly.
    2. Reindexing is not required in Denali – this only applies to CMS Professional users.
  3. Everyone using CMS Professional will take a close look at Denali, the next generation of Cougar Mountain Software.
    1. From the user’s perspective, Denali looks much like CMS Professional; the modules, the forms, and many reports are what you would expect them to look like. But behind the scenes – the backend – the differences are huge.
    2. Based on SQL Server, Denali can easily handle heavy loads of activity.
    3. Designed to be a true server / client application, Denali’s performance actually increases as it is installed across a network.
    4. Very scalable in that you can load balance your accounting software across several servers.
    5. Take an online demonstration today!

From everyone here at Cougar Mountain Software, may 2008 be your most successful year yet!
